Here's a peek at my main motivation:
A vision board* keeps me focused on my goals
My little man-o Darius (yes, he's holding his underwear; he's in the habit of stripping everything off before sitting on the toilet. It can be a challenge to get clothes back on him once he's free)
Eli is just figuring out how his hands work, and startles himself when he hits his toys. It's very entertaining to see his look of surprise over and over and over again!
My sons motivate me in ways nothing else has before. I want to be healthy so I am a good example, but also so that I am able to run and play with them everyday, and long into the future. Having the energy to play pirates, super heros, hide and seek, or whatever is the most amazing gift I have received from my running.
What motivates you? Do you have little ones worth running for?
*I will go over vision boards in another post, but if you're interested in jumping the gun and getting started on your own check this out.
katie you are a super mama, jeez louise
ReplyDeleteLinds! Thanks for the compliment, but seriously you are the super mom! I may be running (while picturing you eatting m&m's and watching me like old times) but you're handling much more and raising a sweet little girl all at once!
ReplyDeleteI sure do love you!
